OUR CUISINE

We are a Chinese All-Vegetarian restaurant. All items on our menu are natural foods, hand-made and freshly prepared by our highly skilled chef. Spices and herbs are used with the main ingredients for flavor and taste. Some dishes do contain nuts. Our main items contain the following ingredients:

"Gluten" - Wheat Protein and Soy Sauce

"Chicken" - Fresh Mushroom, Soy Bean Protein, Gluten

"Beef" - Wheat Soy Protein, Chinese Mushroom

"Pork" - Wheat Soy Protein, Mushrooms, Gluten

"Fish" - Soy Bean Powder, Seaweed, Tofu, Mushrooms

"Shrimp" - Seaweed, Soy Bean Flour, Sweet Red Yam, Gluten

"Squid" - Yam, Carrot

"Shark Fin" - Taro Root Starch, Seaweed, Green Bean Starch

"Our party of 4 came on a weekday for lunch (April 2007) and were welcomed with hot tea and smiles. Our server was very helpful in assisting us order, and she let us know if something might contain MSG or not. Most items DO NOT contain it, but if an ingredient was brought in from outside, then there might be a chance. We ordered a veggie fish with hot bean sauce, steam dumplings, fried spring rolls, a stir fry vegetables, and brown rice. We enjoyed everyday, though I personally prefer the veggie fish without the bean sauce. I believe the restaurant makes its own veggie fish (different/better than from what I've had at other Asian restaurants). Garden Wok is a good place to go for Chinese food when in the San Fernando Valley are. Check it out."

"I live nearby so I go here all the time! I have taken many non-vegetarian friends here and not a single one hasn't loved it! Their menu looks like a 'regular' Chinese menu with tons over 80 things to choose from -- tons of different options and practically everything you can expect to get a Chinese restaurant, made with non-animal products instead! They are very friendly and will make suggestions and cook to order. Try the won ton soup! Prices are excellent!"

"Finally, a delicious Chinese restaurant in the valley. I can't eat Chinese food anywhere else now, the veggie meatballs are amazing, the string beans delicious, the eggplant perfect, try the dumplings & the shredded seaweed soup. You won't be disappointed. I took a friend who only eats meat there & he loved his kung pao veggie chicken!!! The lovely family who own & run it are a delight. All the food is made with joy & happiness you can just tell with every bite!!!"
